In European Urology, we reported on a novel "zero-ischemia" partial nephrectomyPartial Nephrectomyremoval of diseased part of the kidney while sparing the healthy part technique using laparoscopic and robotic surgery. This novel technique, pioneered and developed by our team, completely eliminates renal ischemia during laparoscopic and robotic partial nephrectomy, therefore giving patients a greater chance of superior kidney function after surgery.

Inderbir S. Gill, MD, was selected as European Urology's first North American editor. European Urology has been published for over 35 years and is read by more than 20,000 urologists across the world. This is a special honor for the USC Institute of Urology, as this journal is a leading publication with the highest impact factor of 7.6 in the field of urology.

The USC Institute of Urology team has just returned from a 12-day, 5-city visit to Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Singapore to lay the groundwork for a collaborative program with physicians in China.
We present important information for patients and their significant others who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer. This seminar is highly recommended for our patients, as it is a chance to learn more about prostate cancer and your treatment options, as well as have your questions answered.
