Hardy, Brian E.

Dr. Hardy has been chief of pediatric urology at CHLA/USC since 1984. He received his undergraduate degree from Otago University in 1959, and his medical degree from Otago Medical School in 1964. He completed his surgical training at the University of Otago, Otago Hospital Board in New Zealand and his urology training at Children’s Hospital Medical Center, School of Medicine, Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts. Hardy also serves as a co-director of the Kidney Transplantation Program at CHLA and is renowned for pediatric renal transplantation, helping hundreds of children with kidney failure improved their health and their quality of life through kidney transplantation. Hardy has also been active in several associations, including Surgical Research Society of Australasia, Fellow of the Royal Australasia College of Surgeons, Urological Society for Transplantation and Vascular Surgery, Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons, American Academy of Pediatrics and Society of Pediatric Urology.
