We have pioneered the use of transrectal ultrasound navigation during minimally invasive kidney, prostate, and bladder surgery and to improve nerve-sparing during prostatectomy to improve potency and continence outcomes while providing the best cancer cure. We have developed techniques for augmented reality surgical navigation where pre-operative x-ray, ultrasound and CT scan images can be superimposed on the robotic or laparoscopic image to improve surgical precision.
