The USC Institute of Urology is now offering a 1-2 year research and clinical fellowship in endourology, laparoscopy and robotics.
The fellow will conduct clinical cases primarily at Keck Hospital of USC, and LAC+USC Medical Center. The fellow will work directly with the full-time academic faculty on both the private and county Hospital services (Drs. Inderbir Gill, Matthew Dunn, Mihir Desai, Charles Best and Monish Aron) and with the residents and interns on each service. The fellow will have the opportunity to participate in conventional laparoscopic and robotic cases. Fellows will have access to a fully equipped small and large animal laboratory for pre-clinical projects.
The fellow is appointed as a junior faculty member (Clinical Instructor in Urology) and will have appropriate responsibilities to help staff cases at LAC+USC Medical Center as well as taking call from home. The fellow will also be expected to independently staff one outpatient clinic per week.
Candidates for this fellowship should be eligible for licensure in California and should have completed full training in urology. In general, graduates of ACGME-accredited residency in the US and Canada will be given preference. International graduates who are eligible for licensure may also apply. We are currently accepting applications for July 2013 start date.
