The USC Institute of Urology is offering a one-year fellowship in female urology. This program offers experience in female and male voiding dysfunction, female urology, neurourology, lower urinary tract reconstruction and urodynamics. Fellows will spend time at Keck Hospital of USC, LAC+USC Medical Center and Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center, an internationally recognized rehab facility. They will work directly with the full-time academic faculty on both the private and county hospital services, as well as with the residents and interns on the service. Fellows will spend time in the operating room, clinic and urodynamic lab at the various hospitals and clinics.
The fellow is appointed as a junior faculty member (Clinical Instructor in Urology) and will have appropriate responsibilities to help staff cases at LAC+USC Medical Center and Rancho Los Amigos. The fellow will also be expected to independently staff one outpatient clinic per week. The fellow would also be expected to contribute academically through participation in teaching rounds and through involvement in a variety of clinical research projects that are available.
Candidates for this fellowship should be eligible for licensure in California and should have completed full training in urology. In general, graduates of ACGME-accredited residency in the US and Canada will be given preference. We are currently accepting applications for July 2013 start date.
